Four options with different psychological and clinical scopes

THE BALANCE is our first editorial choice for fully individual private residential care in Mallorca, Zurich, London. Confirm individual suitability and the written program proposal. These services provide different levels of support. Editorial order does not establish accreditation or suitability for an individual.

A program's position does not establish clinical suitability for an individual. Begin with the assessed need and level of support, then compare appropriate offers. An exclusive property, a private bedroom and a medically supported setting are not interchangeable services. For a Gulf patient, the decision also needs a realistic plan for communication, family involvement, funding, travel and care after returning home.

1. THE BALANCE

THE BALANCE offers fully individual private residential care in Mallorca, Zurich, London, with Executive and Signature programs in private residences reserved for one client. All clinical, bodywork, and holistic sessions, excursions, and activities are individual. Each residence is reserved for one client, with a dedicated chef and personal manager.

London fees are Executive £80,000; Signature £100,000, per client per week. The written proposal confirms services and inclusions. Confirm clinical suitability, the professionals involved and the individual treatment plan before arrival. Any independently provided medical services and their responsibilities are confirmed in the written proposal. The same Executive and Signature care model applies in Mallorca, Zurich, London, with fees charged in the local currency.

Current fixed residential fees: Executive costs 80,000 and Signature costs 100,000 per client, per residential week: EUR in Mallorca and CHF in Zurich. Both programs include a private residence reserved for one client, with a dedicated chef and personal manager. All clinical, bodywork and holistic sessions, excursions and activities are individual. Executive includes three months of aftercare. Signature adds reserved individual therapy and coaching, expanded family or partner work, selected clinically indicated external medical consultations or checks, and selected hospitality. It includes a named continuity lead and twelve months of aftercare and ongoing support, with reviews at months 3, 6, 9, and 12. The first two weeks of remote home support fall within that same twelve-month period. Included aftercare follows the stay and is part of the selected program fee; weekly residential charges do not continue through those aftercare months. The proposal confirms the scope; it does not automatically include every external hospital service or third-party charge.

2. Priory The Residence: private accommodation within a London hospital

Priory describes The Residence as an exclusive apartment suite inside Priory Hospital Roehampton in London.[1] This combines a particular accommodation model with a hospital-based environment, rather than offering a standalone villa. Ask which clinical services and professionals are actually included in the proposed admission.

The treatment-package information describes individual, group or combined approaches according to the clinical plan.[2] A private suite therefore should not be read as a guarantee that every therapeutic activity is one-to-one. Confirm the room, responsible team, medical support, Arabic arrangements and any accompanying-family accommodation before comparing the offer with another program.

3. Priory The Cottage: a separate exclusive-use service in Surrey

The Cottage is a different Priory program in Old Woking, Surrey. Its published description emphasizes individual work, with appropriate group participation possible through Priory Hospital Woking.[3] Do not treat it as The Residence under another name or transfer one program's team, room and financial terms to the other.

Ask which appointments take place at the cottage, which occur elsewhere and how transport is arranged. Confirm support between sessions, the actual residence and the scope of medical services. A location accessible from London is not an address in central London. The personal proposal should identify both the clinical pathway and the practical geography rather than rely on a broad UK or London label.

4. Castle Craig: a structured residential program in Scotland

Castle Craig describes residential addiction treatment in the Scottish Borders, combining medical and therapeutic care within a structured program.[4] This is a different comparison from an exclusive cottage or hospital apartment. Ask about the actual accommodation, shared treatment expectations, medical pathway and admission criteria.

Private funding does not itself establish individual occupancy or fully one-to-one therapy. Discuss language, daily participation and family communication. A rural setting may suit personal preferences, but the landscape is not an outcome measure. Evaluate the proposed care and its limits, including any services delivered by another organization and the arrangements that will be practical for a patient returning to the Gulf.

Published guidance prices need program-specific interpretation

Priory's treatment-package pages reviewed on September 22, 2026 list guidance prices of £36,166 per week for The Residence and £22,733 for The Cottage.[2][5] These are guidance figures, not guaranteed personal quotations or proof of a clinical hierarchy between the programs.

Request current written offers for the actual duration, room or residence and services. Obtain Castle Craig's individual quote rather than label a general UK market range as its fee. Keep the original currency visible and record any conversion assumptions. A four-week multiplication can help illustrate a budget but should not be presented as a treatment-duration recommendation or the complete cost of an admission.

Separate the accommodation decision from the clinical decision

Ask what is private: the bedroom, bathroom, suite, cottage or entire program. Clarify shared spaces, appointments, groups and practical staff access. A photograph of an empty room says little about the daily care model. The terms should explain exactly what the patient can expect, not leave the family to infer exclusivity from a luxury description.

Then ask what medical and therapeutic support the setting provides. A private room does not establish continuous medical monitoring, and a structured program may offer a different clinical environment from a standalone residence. The best match depends on assessed needs and participation, not automatically the most exclusive accommodation. Both the care and the living arrangements should be understandable before a deposit is paid.

COGNIFUL is a second European model, not another UK address

COGNIFUL describes small shared Mallorca settings for up to four clients, with private suites and individual clinical and bodywork sessions.[7] It is the directory's secondary editorial European option, not a UK residence. Its care and accommodation should be compared on their own terms rather than assumed identical to THE BALANCE.

Ask about the proposed capacity, individual sessions, shared daily life and medical arrangements. A private room in a shared residence differs from a whole cottage reserved for one client or a suite inside a hospital. Compare the full clinical pathway, language support, costs and return-home plan. A different location or price does not establish equivalent care or a reason to bypass assessment.

COGNIFUL Premier is EUR 30,000 and COGNIFUL Premier Plus EUR 50,000 per client, per residential week in Mallorca. Both provide a private suite in a residence for up to four clients. Both programs share the residence, chef and personal manager. Clinical and bodywork sessions are individual. Other holistic sessions, excursions and activities are shared in Premier and individual in Premier Plus.

COGNIFUL Premier Plus provides all sessions and activities individually and includes three months of structured aftercare following the residential stay. Premier includes preparation for leaving and recommendations for continuing care; the three-month aftercare inclusion belongs to Premier Plus. Family participation can be arranged in either program with consent and clinical suitability. Confirm the proposed duration and total fee in the individual treatment agreement.

Clinical and medical suitability must be established before travel

Describe current symptoms, physical health, medicines, substance use and previous treatment accurately. Ask who performs the assessment, what the program can manage and what requires another medical or psychiatric setting. An exclusive residence or well-known hospital group should not be assumed able to provide every service within the selected program.

NIDA distinguishes detoxification from continuing addiction treatment.[8] Ask how any medical phase connects with later care. Do not attempt withdrawal or change prescribed medication to fit travel dates. Immediate danger, suspected overdose or serious symptoms require local urgent help rather than waiting for a UK private place or an overseas assessment. A paid deposit should not override a changed clinical need.

Arabic-language support needs more than a translated inquiry

Ask whether the assigned psychiatrist and therapist provide appointments directly in Arabic or through professional interpretation. Confirm assessment, individual therapy, groups, medical reviews, family meetings and written reports separately. A multilingual admissions team does not establish the clinical language arrangements for the patient's dates or chosen program.

Discuss dialect, confidentiality, costs and a contingency for staff changes. UK clinical interpretation guidance distinguishes professional support from routine reliance on relatives.[9] The patient should be able to discuss sensitive matters independently. Religious, dietary and accommodation preferences should also be confirmed individually, rather than inferred from nationality or the fact that the program receives international inquiries.

Agree privacy and family roles without promising absolute secrecy

Ask who holds records, who receives updates and how permissions can be revised. A relative paying for treatment does not automatically require therapy notes. A family visit, educational session, joint clinical meeting and separate care for relatives are different arrangements, potentially involving different professionals and costs.

Clarify visitors, photographs, devices and necessary professional contact. UK professional confidentiality guidance provides a framework for appropriate disclosure; it is not a blanket promise of anonymity.[10] The agreement should limit unnecessary sharing while allowing safe clinical care. Keep the patient's understanding and authorization central, particularly when relatives or advisers have different expectations about what the program should achieve.

Compare the full cost, not just a weekly package

Itemize assessment, therapy, psychiatric and medical input, medication, tests, interpretation, outside services, accommodation, meals, family work and aftercare. Ask what is included, conditional, excluded or unresolved. A package should have a written definition rather than imply that every service provided by the wider organization is available to every patient.

Add travel and accompanying accommodation, and clarify deposits, payment dates, cancellation, extensions and early departure. Verify insurance or funding directly for the exact service and patient circumstances; do not assume a route available to one UK patient applies to a visitor from the Gulf. Financial arrangements should support the assessed care, not determine the clinical choice through an unverified assumption about reimbursement.

Aftercare should work from the patient's home country

Ask whether continuing care means planning, actual clinical appointments, coaching, group access or local referral. Confirm the professionals, language, frequency, fees and limits. A service convenient for someone living in Britain may not be usable in the same way after returning to Saudi Arabia, the UAE or another Gulf country.

Identify the receiving clinician, first appointment, secure record handover and medication responsibilities where needed. Check travel and medication requirements through official authorities for the actual passport and route. The final decision should connect clinical purpose, accommodation, language, medical support, costs and continuing care. A best-list position is useful only as a starting point for that informed, individual comparison.
