For each local option, distinguish psychiatric consultation, addiction services and residential rehabilitation. Do not assume the same eligibility, privacy or referral process across different facilities.
Build an international plan around your circumstances
When comparing Kuwait-based care with Europe or the United States, include the time away from home, arrangements for accompanying relatives and the handover to a Kuwait-based clinician. Written confirmation of each arrangement is more useful than a generic promise of international-patient support.
Local care or treatment abroad?
